Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

1. What is a credential evaluation?

A credential evaluation compares your international academic qualifications to U.S. education standards. It helps schools, employers, and immigration offices understand your foreign degree or diploma.

2. What types of evaluations do you provide?

We provide two primary categories:

  • Course-by-Course Evaluation – Includes individual course listings, U.S. credit equivalents, and GPA calculations.

  • Summary Evaluation – Provides a general U.S. equivalency for a degree or diploma without course listings on GPA calculations. 

3. Who accepts IICUS evaluations?

Our evaluations are accepted by many U.S. colleges, universities, employers, licensing boards, and immigration offices, including those for B-1 and B-2 Visa requests. Please check with the institution or agency to confirm their requirements.

4. How long does the evaluation process take?

Standard processing takes 21 business days after we receive all required documents and payment. Rush service options are also available.

5. What documents are required?

Please submit:

  • Transcripts or academic records

  • Diploma or degree certificate

  • Certified English translations (if they are not in English)

  • Completed application form.

6. Do I need to send the original documents?

Yes. Whenever it is possible. However, we accept clear copies or scanned PDFs of your academic documents. You may upload them during the application process or email them to us.

7. How do I make a payment for the evaluation?

We accept payments via:

  • U.S. local checks

  • Cash

  • Money orders

  • Zelle payments

Note: Payment must be received before your evaluation begins.

8. May I request a refund?

Refunds are not available once processing begins. A partial refund may be issued if you cancel before processing starts (minus a $35 administrative fee).

9. Will I receive a hard copy?

Yes, you will receive a PDF copy via Email. Additionally, a printed official copy can be mailed for an extra fee.

10. Can I track my order?

Yes. We will send email updates throughout the process. If you request a mailed copy, you will receive a tracking number.
